Content & Usage Guidelines
WXN Media creates original editorial, video, photographic, and event-based content to celebrate, document, and amplify the achievements of women leaders across North America and internationally.
We’re proud of the stories we tell and we ask that our content be used respectfully and appropriately.
The guidelines below outline how WXN Media content may (and may not) be used.
1. Ownership of Content
All content created, commissioned, or published by WXN Media including editorial features, videos, photography, award announcements, and event footage remains the property of WXN Media unless otherwise stated in writing.
This includes:

- Professionally produced event videos and highlight reels
- Editorial video and written features
- Award announcement footage
- Photography captured at WXN Media events
- Branded digital and social content
2. Public Social Media Content
Content posted publicly on WXN Media social channels (for example, Instagram posts, Reels, or Stories) may be:
Permitted

- Reposted or shared as published using platform-native tools
- Embedded or linked to in its original form
- Shared with clear credit to WXN Media (and the original creator where applicable)
Not Permitted
-
- Downloading and extracting clips
- Editing, trimming, or repackaging into new videos
- Using WXN Media social content as part of a newly produced or branded piece
Reposting is welcome. Repurposing is not.
3. Event & Editorial Video Content
Professionally produced WXN Media video content including gala footage, award announcement videos, and editorial features is not available for third-party reuse without prior written approval.
This includes:

- Clipping or excerpting footage
- Incorporating WXN Media video into external productions
- Using footage for employer, organizational or commercial storytelling
Partners or sponsors may receive licensed usage rights only where explicitly outlined in their agreement.
4. Attendance and Content Capture
Attendance at WXN Media events provides access to the experience and the opportunity for attendees to capture their own content.

- Organizations or individuals who attend may film or photograph their own moments on-site in accordance with event guidelines.
- Organizations that do not attend do not have retroactive access to WXN Media-owned footage.
Presence matters.
5. Still Images and Award References
Organizations are welcome to recognize award recipients by:

- Using approved still images provided by WXN Media or the award recipient
- Referencing the recognition using accurate, official award language
- Linking directly to WXN Media editorial or social content
This allows recognition without misrepresentation or unauthorized reuse of media assets.
6. Attribution and Endorsement
Attribution to WXN Media (and original creators) is required where content is shared in permitted ways.
Attribution does not imply permission for reuse, nor does it indicate endorsement, partnership or co-production by WXN Media.
